The New American Diaspora newsletter begins its third year this September.
I had thought a while ago that I might conclude this project since The Old Crow Book Club came out in April, but the stories about Oregon's homeless just keep coming. I feel compelled to continue to share them. The issue clearly isn't going away and perhaps is worsening.
I want to thank all readers of this newsletter and especially the ones who donated via a paid subscription. I hope you will renew your subscription when it comes due in the coming months. I also hope many of you who are reading for free will consider purchasing a subscription and supporting my efforts as a professional writer and eccentric activist.
Please continue to share posts with friends and people who are interested in the homeless crisis. The readership of the newsletter is growing but it would be great to reach more readers.
I don't know what the future holds for this newsletter. I don't know where I am going with my thinking, writing and advocacy on the issue. This not knowing is atypical in my writing career, but I have found this new approach writing about the homeless brings me joy.
Onward, and let's hope Mark gets into housing before winter.
I am glad you are writing about homelessness.
