One of my favorite bartenders in my neighborhood dive stood behind the bar and filled me in on the latest stories about the homeless men and women who patronize the joint, wander dazed and confused outside, congregate and/or pass out at the bus stop across the street, or use the picnic tables as a kind of pit stop before going on to do whatever it is they do all day.
Great stuff Matt. Insanity sums it up well. I've been there! I once OD'd in Miami. Was taken to the ER, hit with narcan, then immediately left AMA to get high again. I was quite insane at that moment. The withdrawals that narcan induces are severe, putting people into an instant sickness that comes on like a derailed freight train. Hospitals need to give OD'd folks Suboxone to help with the intense cravings/withdrawal symptoms. On that note, I have plenty of narcan and will bring some for you the next time we meetup.
